how to make this crochet v-neck top the

full random pattern is available for

description bar and it goes from sizes

extra small to three extra large today

I’ll be making size small you will need

DK worsted weight cotton yarn a 4

millimeter crochet hook a darning needle

and some scissors we’re starting with

the left side of the v-neck to begin

create a slip knot and you can do this

any way you like insert your hook into

the loop and pull tie and then we’re

going to chain 24 so to chain yarn over

and pull through repeat this until you

have 24 chains

[Music]

we’re now going to double crochet into

the third chain from the hook to double

crochet yarn over insert your hook into

the chain yarn over and pull through you

should have three loops on your hook

yarn over and pull through two you

should have two loops on your hook yarn

over and pull through two we’re now

going to double crochet in each chain at

the end you should have 22 double

crochets

[Music]

once you have 22 double crochets we’re

going to begin row two to start Row two

we’re going to chain two and turn double

crochet in each stitch until the end of

the row in this pattern chain two does

not count as a stitch

you should have 22 stitches at the end

of row two and you’re just going to

repeat row two until row four so chain

numbered rows chain 2 and 10 place two

double crochets into the first stitch

and then double crochet in each stitch

until the end of the row for even

numbered rows you’re going to chain two

turn double crochet in each stitch until

the last stitch and then place two

double crochets into the last stitch

to begin row 12 chain two and ten double

crochet in each stitch until the last

two stitches place two double crochets

in each of the last two stitches

chain two and turn double crochet into

the first stitch and then we’re going to

front post double crochet into the next

two stitches and then back post double

crochet into the next two stitches

instead of inserting your hook into the

stitch you’re going to wrap your hook

around the post of the stitch

so you’re going to do two front post

double crochets

and then to back post double crochet

and you’re going to repeat the pattern

of two front post double crochets and

then two back post double crochets until

double crochet into the last stitch

78 stitches in total to start row two

chain two and ten double crochet in each

stitch until the end of the row

you’re going to repeat row two until the

end of row 39

at the end of row 39 repeat the body

ribbing section that you use for the

front panel and this is what your

finished back panel should look like to

begin the sleeves create a slipknot and

insert your hook into the loop

change 56

once you have 56 chains double crochet

in the third chain from the hook double

crochet in each chain until the end of

the row you should have 54 stitches in

total

to start row to chain two and ten double

crochet in each stitch until the end of

the row repeat Row two until the end of

row four at the end of Ruth four you’re

just going to repeat the ribbing

instructions have one row of single

crochets and two rows of front post and

back post double crochets

at the end of the ribbing Rose fast

enough repeat the sleeve steps for the

second sleeve so the front and back

panels together and then sir the sleeves

onto the body I use stitch markers to

hold the pieces together today I’m going

to be using a mattress stitch but you

can use any stitch that you prefer

once you’ve finished attaching the

sleeves to the body fold your garment in

half and sew down the sides and

underneath the sleeves we’re now going

to finish off the v-neck insert your

hook along the back of the neckline

secure your yarn and pull through a loop

to begin chain one and this doesn’t

count as a stitch single crochet in each

stitch along the back of the neckline

once you’re at the end of the back line

we’re going to continue to single

crochet along the edges of the V for a

nice clean finish space out your

stitches as evenly as possible

once you’re back at the beginning slip

stitch into the first single crochet

fast enough weave in all of your ends

and you’ve finished your crochet top
