15 October 2020, 14:29 1703
hi everyone today I’m going to show you
how to make the scalloped crochet wrap
it only uses a four row repeat and it’s
a lot easier than it seems you can also
find the free rhythm pattern on my blog
and it has all the yarn and yardage
information you will need errand or
WestEd weight yarn a six millimeter
crochet hook a dining needle and some
scissors to begin create a slipknot
insert your crochet hook into the loop
trained for
we’re going to slip stitch into the
first chain to form a ring
so to begin row one chain two and the
turning chain of chain two counts as a
double crochet
we’re now going to double crochet into
the ring to double crochet yarn over
insert your crochet hook into the ring
yarn over and pull up a loop you should
have three loops on your hook yarn over
and pull through two yarn over and pull
through two
place another double crochet into the
ring
you should have three stitches in turtle
we’re now going to chain two and this
forms the center chain to space and then
we’re going to place three more double
crochets into the ring
at the end of row one you should have
six stitches in total
10 yo leg
to start row to chain to place two
double crochets into the first stitch
you
double crochet in each stitch until you
reach the center chain to space
into the center chain to space you’re
going to double crochet
chain two and then double crochet
double crochet in each stitch until the
last stitch of the row
place three double crochets into the
last stitch of the row so the last
stitch of your row will be the chain two
turning chain
at the end of row two you should have 12
stitches and then you’re going to repeat
Row two for rows three and four so turn
your work
and then chain tube to begin
two double crochets into the first
stitch
double crochet in each stitch until you
reach the center chain to space
double crochet chain two double crochet
into the center chain two space
double crochet in each stitch until the
last stitch of the row
and then place three double crochets
into the last stitch of the row
at the end of Row three you should have
18 stitches turn your work and repeat
Row 3 for Row 4
and at the end of row four you should
have 24 stitches
to start row five chain two
place two double crochets into the first
stitch
we’re then going to change for
skip two stitches and then single
crochet into the next stitch
you’re then gonna chain 5
skip two stitches and then single
crochet into the next stitch
repeat chain five skip two stitches
single crochet into the next stitch
until your two stitches from the center
chain to space
you’re then gonna chain 5
and then single crochet into the center
chain to space
chain to
and then single crochet into the center
chain to space
you’re going to repeat the pattern of
chain five skip two stitches and then
single crochet into the next stitch
until you have 3 stitches left in the
rough
once you have three stitches left in the
row chain four and then place three
double crochets into the last stitch of
the row
in total you should have six double
crochets to chain four spaces and six
chain five spaces turn your work and
then to start row six we’re going to
chain two
place two double crochets into the first
stitch
place one double crochet in each of the
next two stitches
you
place three double crochets into the
chain for space
and then place three double crochets in
each of the chain five spaces until you
reach the center chain two space
in the center chain to space double
crochet chain two and then double
crochet
place three double crochets in each of
the chain five spaces
place three double crochets into the
chain for space
and then double crochet into the next
two stitches
and then place three double crochets
into the last stitch
at the end of row 6 you should have 36
stitches turn your lip and then 407
we’re just going to repeat Row 2 so to
start row 7 chain 2 place two double
crochets into the first stitch
double crochet in each stitch until the
sinter chained to space
into the center chain to space double
crochet
chained to
double crochet
double crochet in each stitch until the
last stitch of the row
and then place three double crochets
into the last stitch of the row
at the end of row 7 you should have 42
stitches and turn your work
repeat rows four to seven until the end
of row 43
at the end of row 43 you should have 258
stitches
I’m going to add a scalloped border to
the wrap this is completely optional and
if you like your wrap as is fast enough
to start the border skip the first three
stitches place seven double crochets
into the next stitch
skip two stitches and then slip stitch
into the next stitch
you
you’re then going to repeat the pattern
of skip 2 stitches place seven double
crochets into the next stitch
skip two stitches slip stitch into the
next stitch until your two stitches from
the center chain to space
you
when your two stitches from the center
chain to space you’re going to place
seven double crochets into the center
chain two space
skip two stitches and then slip stitch
into the next stitch
you
repeat the pattern of skipped two
stitches place seven double crochets
into the next stitch skip two stitches
slip stitch until the end of the row
in total you should have 43 scallops
fast enough
to make this rep look as lazy and open
as possible I highly recommend blocking
it
and you finished your scallop breath
