how to make the Magnolia sweet hot top

I’ll be making size small the full

rhythm pattern from sizes extra small to

three extra large is available for free

yarn I’m using paintbox yarns cotton DK

in the color dusty rose a full

millimeter crochet hook a darning needle

for stitch markers and some scissors to

begin create a slipknot and insert your

hook into the loop

chain make sure that your ring of chains

aren’t twisted

I’m going to show you two different ways

to sign around the fist is to chain 3

and I’d recommend this if you’re a

beginner I like to use a no turning

chain it’s a bit fiddly but it reduces

the visible seen

to do a no turning chain pull up a loop

roughly the height of your double

crochet hold on to your loop and yarn

over

ya know that and pull through yarn over

and pull through – we’re now going to

double crochet into the next stitch two

double crochet yarn over and insert your

hook into the chain yarn over and pull

through you should have three loops on

your hook yarn over and pull through two

yarn over and pull through two you’re

going to double crochet until you have

33 stitches

you’ll have a hundred and thirty-two

join

no turning chain double crochet in every

stitch until the first stitch marker

place three double crochets into the

stitch with a stitch marker

place the stitch marker on top of the

second double crochet you’re going to

repeat this all the way around so place

one double crochet in each stitch and

then in a stitch with the stitch marker

place three double crochets into the

same stitch and move the stitch marker

on top of the second double crochet

crochet in the remaining stitch slip

stitch into the first stitch to join

repeat round two until you reach the end

of round 14

so to begin chain three or do a no

slip stitch into the chain 1 and fasten

off repeat this for the other sleeve

we’re now going to make our chain to

begin create a slipknot

Chane a hundred and seventy

once your chain is the desired link fast

enough

pull tightly on both tails of yarn and

trim off the excess

fold your top in half to find the middle

we feel chain up and down every few rows

if you need a bit of help

use the crochet hook

once you reach the top skip two stitches

and then wave your chain across continue

to weave your chain up and down until

you reach the bottom of the top

once you’ve finished weaving your chain

pull on the ends and tie above you can

easily alter the ruching personally I

like the chain to stop in the middle of

the body and only gather the top
